Table Plans

Nicky of Sugared & Spiced Venue Dressing demonstrates different ways in which to guide your guests to their tables.

Table plans can be made out of just about anything these days. The traditional table plan is still very much in existence but there are so many other ways to display your table plan and really the only boundary is your imagination.

These table plan cards are by Cards by Sophie and feature pretty pearl hearts. The theme is Hollwyood Greats.

Vintage and Shabby Chic is still very much en vogue this year in the wedding world and so there are props galore out there that you can use as a table plan.

Here we have used a shabby chic style bird cage which would work beautifully in a marquee or a venue where you are able to hang it.

The next example adds a touch of boudoir glamour to the proceedings in the form of a large ornate mirror!

I feel a word of warning is required here - you would have to ensure the mirror was properly secured!

Another point to note is to be mindful of that fact that some of your guests may well be wearing short skirts or dresses so try not to put your table plan cards too low down! It could make for an unfortunate situation which could so easily be caught on camera! Oh the shame!

Plas Maenan Country House - Real Life Wedding

A big thank you to Tony of Tony Fanning Photography for sending us his real life wedding images.

This wedding took place at the beautiful Plas Maenan Country House. Plas Maenan Country House is a restored Edwardian mansion situated in the Conwy Valley, North Wales and is available exclusively for your wedding.

Tony Fanning is based in Colwyn Bay, North Wales and covers North Wales and the North West. Tony describes himself as "a husband, a father and a chocaholic!" - we like his style! His photography style is contemporary and relaxed.

Top Tip: Check out the bride's footwear! Wedges are so much more comfortable for a full day of standing on your feet - yet still give you the height and the glamour you desire.
