Exciting News from Mrs2Be

Wow - it's Friday again already! Good luck and best wishes for all of our lovely Mrs2Be's who are getting married tomorrow!

Now for some exciting news from Mrs2Be and that is the launch of Mrs2Be Hire! Mrs2Be Hire is here to help you with those little details that you want to decorate your wedding venue. Many brides like the idea of having reams and reams of wedding bunting or lanterns adorning their garden, marquee or wedding venue, but don't necessarily want to have to store it or indeed use it again after the big day.

The solution is - Mrs2Be Hire - we can hire you those reams and reams of wedding bunting then you can simply hand it back to us at the end of the event!

A selection of items we have available are include vintage crockery, pretty country baskets, candelabras & lanterns.

Whatever decorative items you need simply contact us. We are busy catalogueing those items we already have in stock but there are many more on order so if there is something specific you need for your special day, please contact me.

This service is only available in our local area at the moment so if you are getting married in North Wales, North Shropshire or Cheshire, drop me a line.

If you are a venue dresser or a wedding planner, again, we'd love to hear from you so why not drop me a line and we will be delighted to help.

For an idea of the sort of items we have on offer, go to Mrs2Be Hire - though bear in mind, this is only a selection of items we have to offer!

Surprise from a Soldier!

A soldier on leave from service in Afghanistan has surprised his girlfriend by popping the big question to her in a church yard and then marrying her there and then!

Colin Dawson is said to have organised the wedding via e mail. His girlfriend knew nothing about it and in fact thought that they were simply going out for lunch. On the way to 'lunch', Mr Dawson insisted that they stop at the church yard to visit a grave of a relative. Instead, Colin turned to her and said that he wanted her to marry him right then and there in the church.

Mrs2Be loves this story, and we love that the planning was done by the Groom for a change!

Lunch Box Diet Tips 4 & 5

Described by it's founder Simon, as 'a simple, concise way to diet without calorie counting', we love The Lunch Box Diet and have been sharing tips from Simon over the past week.

Tips 4 & 5 for increasing your metabolic rate are great examples of why this straight talking diet makes sense and is easy to stick to

Eat foods that have staying power
Refined carbs are converted to energy in the body so quickly that they are often stored as fat. Complex carbs and lean proteins take longer to digest and aid in increasing metabolism.

Hot Hot Hot!
Pepper such as cayenne pepper raises metabolism by increasing heart rate. When you add hot sauces, fresh hot peppers or ground hot pepper to your meal, you are likely to burn more calories for a while after eating.

Mrs2Be's Supplier of the Month for March is......

Peartree Pictures!

Ian Southworth's wedding photography is simply beautiful and inventive. Ian has been in the photography industry for over 20 years and has achieved award winning results with his work.

But, as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words so rather than us babbling on why not check out just some of his work for yourself HERE

Farm Weddings

Farm weddings conjur up the image of pretty pastel and floral bunting, gingham, hay bales and so much more. With the rise in popularity of eco-friendly weddings, this theme is a great way to embrace all things green (though obviously you don't have to adopt a green colour theme if it doesn't suit you).

Companies such as Bonne Fete are able to sell or hire items to decorate your tables and venue like this pretty gingham jug seen here. For more see their website

Remember you don't have to look for a formal Farm wedding venue - though they do exist, you simply need to find an obliging friend or relative with farm land who would allow you to put up a marquee for a few days!
