Police Called to Bridal Shop

It is always a nightmare when a wedding shop goes into liquidation or worse still a wedding venue as it can leave brides thousands of pounds out of pocket and their whole wedding day in jeopardy.

I have experienced this here in my home town when two wedding venues went into liquidation without warning leaving couples completely stranded and unable to find alternative venues at such short notice, not to mention losing a lot of money. Some of these couples had not taken out any wedding insurance either.

This particular story is about a wedding shop, Arvella, based in Lyndhurst which shut up shop without warning. When the word got out, the shop was besieged by Brides to be, Fiances and family members all wanting to get their paid for wedding dresses out of the shop. At some point someone has then forced entry into the shop and so the police were then called.

Many designers dresses have been affected including Charlotte Balbier and Pronovias who seem to have been extremely helpful to those brides affected. For the full story - click here.

Adding the Fun Factor to your Big Day

Many brides and grooms want something a bit different on their wedding day, something their guests may not have experience before and here at Mrs2Be we think we have found just that.

Wedding Trikes offer alternative refreshment ideas such as a Pimms Camper Van which, as the name would suggest, serves up refreshing glasses of Pimms out of a retro styled camper van customised into a mobile bar. Or how about a traditional Ice Cream tricycle or even a popcorn tricycle.

Wilst this company is based in Kent, they travel around the UK. We think it is well worth a peep at their website and their gallery for additional inspiration: www.wedding-trikes.com

Save The Date Magnets

If you are planning a wedding months in advance, then it is worth considering sending out "Save The Date" magnets to friends and family to ensure they keep your big day free in their diaries!
It can be difficult particularly when marrying at the height of the summer, to ensure that those people you want to share your big day with you keep the day free of other commitments such as holidays. And it can be difficult for your friends and family to remember the date as they won't receive their invitation until 6 weeks before the wedding and life can be very hectic that keeping the date in their mind for such a long time can be nigh on impossible!

So - why not send them a pretty little "Save The Date" magnet that they can keep on their fridge to remind them of your pending wedding day.

We have put together a number of designs exclusive to Mrs2Be such as the one featured here, which are currently available on ebay and will soon be available in our online shop. Take a look at our Save The Date magnets Here! .
